Dungeons and conferences aren't the only ones who can book Devyn for a class; he offers private classes too! With the use of virtual platforms he can provide education to individuals as well.
Devyn is frequently available to teach classes virtually or in person! While his schedule changes he is always able to make time for a class or two. If anything, he prefers to do two or three in a day!
You with the hard hitting questions, eh? It is true that Devyn is a professional presenter and does this for a living. So, yes, he does have a speaking fee. However, he is always happy to work with individual budgets and non profit organizations. He even waives his fee in certain instances!
This class is an introduction to the concept and negotiation of authority transfer dynamics. Understand the foundational concepts and philosophies that inform authority transfer and the necessary components that go into negotiating and establishing an authority transfer. What are these relationships made of? What can you get out of them? What can they bring to you?
This class will open a door you may never want to close! We will discuss ownership beyond return. But what is “beyond” you ask? Beyond finances, food choices, career, and even family obligations, Devyn Stone and his property, Guan Xuan engage in a 24/7 total authority transfer dynamic. They live together with an understanding that each day they live a fantasy in the real world. Get a glimpse of what that looks like and understand how one couple built and maintains a dynamic in which the property lives for its Master, because its Master allows it to live for him.
Dominants, D-types, and all other in-charge folx are the leaders in our dynamics. But what does it take to lead in these relationships? Join Devyn Stone, self-awareness coach and author, to get some first-hand knowledge. In this class you will discover types of dominance, leadership styles, how to get started, how to design the dynamic you want, and of course - some mythbusting!
This is the class for anyone interested in spiritual authority transfer in which the Master/Dominant is to be imbued with religious or spiritual connotation. Exploring religion and philosophy, we will discuss why religious and spiritual authority is so enticing as well as the fine balancing act of seeing a human being as a deity. We will cover both sides of the slash and how this particular philosophy can be great for all types with both inspiring and cautionary tales.
Like pie, power dynamics and relationships require a solid crust or foundation and delicious filling, and sometimes pies come with an elaborate topping. But what makes up the crust and what are good, compatible fillings? What would the topping of your relationship or dynamic pie look like? In this class we will discuss some basic terminology and theory behind practical protocols. We will even discuss how to create, sustain and enforce various protocols. Where do protocols fit in your life? Do you need them? Let's find out! (Unfortunately, edible pie isn’t included in this class though you’re welcome to bring your own!)
Class 1 - Radical Ownership of Yourself
Before we consider owning others or offering ourselves to ownership, we must first own and take accountability of ourselves and our behavior in a more profound and radical way: radical ownership. In this class, Devyn Stone and his property, Guan-Xuan, will introduce attendees to radical ownership as a means of accepting and taking accountability for all parts of ourselves in order to gain authority for self-control. Attendees can expect a thorough discussion of what radical ownership means, how to apply its principles to themselves, and opportunities to explore what radical ownership of themselves looks like and how it can be developed further. Any persons, regardless of dynamic status or sides of the slash, are welcome to this discussion.
Class 2 - Radical Ownership as a Dynamic Style
When we are able to radically accept and take accountability of all parts of ourselves, we are able to exert Radical Ownership over our being. Now, we can take radical ownership a step further and imbue its principles into our authority transfer and power exchange dynamics. In this second course of Devyn Stone and Guan-Xuan’s Radical Ownership series, attendees engage in discussion and reflection on what radical ownership consists of when applied to a dynamic style. In other words, how can we take the principles of radical self-ownership and apply it to power exchange and authority transfer? How do we transfer accountability from one entity to another? This class is designed to provoke thinking, reflection, and encourage dialogue. Any persons, regardless of dynamic status or sides of the slash, are welcome to this discussion. Prior attendance to the first course, “Radical Ownership of Yourself,” is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
Class 3 - Radical Ownership in the Community
When we adjust our relationships and understandings of ourselves in order to wholly accept and take responsibility, such dynamic shifts can also ripple out and across broader spheres of community and scene. In this third installment of the Radical Ownership series, Devyn Stone and his property Guan-Xuan take radical ownership one step further and by asking attendees to consider how these principles and ideas can shape and impact broader communities. How does taking accountability for ourselves and our dynamics impact larger groups of people, such as local or online communities? How can communities benefit from the principles of radical ownership? As in prior courses, any persons, regardless of dynamic status or sides of the slash, are welcome to the discussion. Prior attendance to previous courses, “Radical Ownership of Yourself” and “Radical Ownership as a Dynamic Style”, are not mandatory but highly recommended.
Oftentimes, folks on the right side of the slash ask “How can I support my Master/Dominant/etc?” when we live in a society where vulnerability is often depicted as weakness and the need for emotional support is usually seen in the context of the Top supporting the bottom. In this class, Devyn Stone and his property, Guan Xuan will review the concept of “supportive surrender” and how you can shape your power exchange dynamic to facilitate the vulnerability and emotional support folks on the left side of the slash need and desire. This class is offered to give you some ideas and a place to ask a Dominant questions about emotional support from the right side of the slash. Devyn Stone engages with his property, Guan Xuan in a 24/7 Owner/property dynamic that is structured to support him. His property functions as an emotional support slave, service dog, and even an auxiliary prefrontal cortex. He uses his property’s brain to serve his every need and whim. You will hear some of Guan Xuan’s functions, how they developed, and be permitted to ask anything you like. This class is for anyone on either or both sides of the slash.
From the perspective of a White, transgender male Dominant and His Asian, nonbinary property, We will examine authority transfer dynamics through an Eastern and Western lens, discuss how we meld two cultures together, and offer an unique perspective on Western ideas of a "powerful slave" and "identity surrender".
Ah the steps to practical ownership and the phases of authority transfer. We negotiate play, right? Well, what about negotiating a dynamic? As many can attest, dynamics are not just about protocols, punishments and service. Dive into pragmatism with Devyn in understanding compatibility (and how to assess it) and discover your needs and wants in all aspects of authority transfer. Together, you’ll establish a process designed to get you exactly what you're looking for!
Play and Service

We will cover safety, general information and negotiation. Of course there's a spicy demo.... and maybe some fear play...

Let’s face it, there are times we aren’t sure who is responsible for what parts of negotiation and play. Several areas of responsibility will be covered, including risk, consent, aftercare, and negotiation. This class is oriented to beginners and seasoned players alike and is inclusive to all orientations.
Psychology & Gender
While the kink and BDSM scenes are often lauded for more clear and concise negotiations in relationships, these skills often take a lot of practice and tend to overlook other related skills. To be a successful negotiator, one does not just need to know what kinds of kinks they want and don’t want, but also need to nurture their agency and firmly establish boundaries. Devyn Stone, in “The Art of Getting What You Want,” provides frank discussion with attendees on agency and autonomy. In this class, attendees define and explore what it means to create and enforce boundaries, how to determine what exactly you want in a potential negotiation, the fine art of saying no, as well as understanding when you really mean yes. Attendees will leave this class with a clearer understanding of their boundaries, agency, and autonomy, and will be equipped with techniques and tools to develop these crucial concepts.
Empathy is often understood as one’s ability to recognize and sometimes share the feelings experienced by another. Oftentimes, empathy is an important tool in all kinds of contexts, from performing a scene to maintaining relationships informed by power exchange and authority transfer. Does empathy mean something else in kink and BDSM? Is empathy mandatory, and, if so, what does this mean for players who struggle with experiencing empathy? In “Do You Feel Me?” Leatherman and educator Devyn Stone explores and unpacks the role of empathy in the context of kink and BDSM. In this 90-minute discussion, attendees are encouraged to challenge and explore what they know and understand empathy to mean and be, and how we can perceive other ways of reading the feelings of others when we don’t experience empathy.
There’s a big, beautiful world full of different genders, identities, and expressions! In this class we will discuss some common terms and concepts about gender, as well as their misconceptions. Want to be a better ally? Fear not, we will discuss proper protocols and interactions, and there will be plenty of time for questions! For an enriched experience and discussion, audience participation is highly encouraged! While we intend this presentation to be inclusive and affirming, some may experience discomfort. Content/Trigger Warning: transgender topics, dysphoria, misgendering, guessing gender, and genital mentions.
No matter which side of the slash you fall on, what we do requires self-awareness. But what exactly does it mean to be “self-aware?” Let's take a look at a journey to self awareness and what it takes. We will discuss our personalities, how we love, why we fight and, more importantly, how we can work together. Sometimes looking in the mirror is rough but we will make this journey as accessible and comfortable as possible.
Despite growing awareness of mental health in kink and leather circles, stigma around various kinds of neurodivergence remains. Devyn Stone, founder and producer of THRIVE, reviews the history of consent and neurodivergence in kink, from RACK and SSC to the DSM. He invites participants to explore the diversity of the human mind in its myriad of forms, even those more feared and stigmatized than others.
What is it really that draws us to feel attached to someone? Where does the sense of connection come from? Devyn Stone, educator and life coach, facilitates deep discussion around topics such as: what are attachment styles? how has childhood informed the formation of attachment? how do we ethically structure our dynamics with attachment styles in mind? Devyn will emphasize interdependence and codependence angles on these topics.
We have a terrible reputation! No matter where you look, narcissists get a bad rap and are often portrayed as less-than-savory and ought to be avoided altogether. Narcissistic Personality Disorder is, well, just that, a personality disorder, and just like other types of neurodivergence, it can be hard to manage and it is incurable. But, does it have to mean we can't love or be loved? Let's smash this stigma once and for all! Whether you have NPD, narcissistic traits or you love a narcissist this class is for you! Disclaimer: Diagnosed with NPD over 10 years ago, Devyn will explore the ins and outs of Narcissistic Personality Disorder with his service pup.
Education and Leadership
At this point negotiating a scene is second nature. We all know how to discuss our limits and boundaries when it comes to whips and chains. But what about getting to the place to teach or have someone teach that class? Educator and organizer, Devyn Stone, will walk you through some great information about just that. We will discuss accessibility, boundaries, compensation, and compromise.
“Project management for when you wear eighteen hats,” Devyn Stone says of his productive style. Join the “Mad Hatter” himself as he shares both the method and the madness behind managing an alternative lifestyle coaching business, full-time BDSM education, author, event coordinator, class moderator...the list goes on! Whether you find yourself balancing several roles or looking for new productivity and project management hacks, Devyn’s class is an entertaining and educational romp for all roles and persuasions!
Join Devyn Stone for an opportunity to vent, discuss, and maybe even solve some of the access issues in our community. We will discuss financial, physical, and many other types of access. How do we make our spaces and organizations more accessible and welcoming to everyone? Let's talk about it!
Despite the devastation the COVID-19 pandemic has wrecked upon our world and communities, one of its unforeseen benefits is an increased desire and necessity for adapting to online formats. A single-evening event is one thing, but what about a full-scale weekend conference? Where does one even begin? Join Devyn Stone, mastermind behind the highly-successful THRIVE conference, as he walks you through the simple and the complicated aspects and points of planning and executing an online conference. Topics include but are not limited to financial cost analysis, determining volunteer/staff sizes, marketing, scheduling, assessing accessibility, and presenter wrangling. They say actions speak louder than words, and the adage isn’t any less true within the kink and BDSM community. Oftentimes, however, the language we draft has an opportunity to act and create impressions before we have a chance to speak. Whether you’re drafting policies, designing signs for your dungeon, or creating invitations to your event, you will want to make everyone feel included. In “Conscious Language,” Devyn Stone fosters discussion with participants on how to consciously craft language and persona in media and presentation in order to evoke the values and principles of individuals, organizations, and event spaces. Please note: there will be examples of language that may be harmful to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Neurodiverse, and disabled folx in order to demonstrate to attendees what is and isn’t conscious language.
